新双双教程 for 5th and 6th Grade

Dear Parents: The school has rolled out this new textbook class and the big reason behind it is based on the input and feedback from many of our parents, complaining how difficult and heavy burdened MLP classes are to their children, especially when their children are getting into middle/high school or about that age. Specifically, the issue is that the homework of MLP is too much for students to handle after the classes, and on top of that, there are just too much middle/high school curriculum work and activities that these teenage children have to deal with, therefore, these teenage/high school kids simply could not catch up with the MLP textbooks contents and especially its home works; and fall behind therefore unfortunately. Based on those inputs, we did lots of research during the spring semester and contacted several schools on the West Coast which have been using the 新双双 textbooks. The conclusion that we have is that the new textbook suits older/teenage children just fine, if not better. The following is the notice we sent out to our parents. You may want to take a look and consult with your children, especially if they are of the middle or high school age, to get their opinion about this new course with new textbooks.
