Another New Class Offered at the HCSTC-- Science Explorers

We are offering another new class for our community members: Science Explorers The course is planned for the two semesters: Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. The Fall 2023 semester will cover topics on Meteorology, Climate, Weather, Forensics, and Heredity. The Spring 2024 semester will cover topics on Motion, Work, Energy, Wave Theory, Lights and optics, Atomic structure, the Periodic table, Chemical reactions and bonding, Cell biology, evolution, and Ecology. Course Description: The Science Explorer Course is designed to ignite the scientific curiosity of students in grades 4 to 7 and prepare them for the exciting world of Science Olympiad competitions. This course aims to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills while exploring a wide range of scientific disciplines. Throughout this course, students will embark on a thrilling journey through various scientific domains, including events such as Chemistry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Science, and Engineering. Textbook: No Textbook required, PPT slides will be distributed. Google classroom setup with powerpoints/slides for each of the classes.
