11/3 HCSTC Announcement

Dear HCSTC community members,

The coming Sunday is the 9th week of our Fall Semester at HCSTC. It is a NORMAL School day for us, but a couple of IMPROTANT things that need your Attention and Actions this week:

1) Daylight Saving Time (DST) 2024 ends on Sunday. That will put us back into Standard Time, please Remember to Turn your Clock BACK 1 Hour!

2) For students’ SAFETY, Parents must WARN your kids: Do NOT Touch or Play any Storage Locker to avoid any potential Issue or Dangerous situation! As a reminder, SAFETY is always the most important matter in our school. As parents, please take a moment to talk to your children about safety in our school, such as no running in the hallway, not touch or play storage locker, no windows climbing, including handrails of staircases, etc. These actions can cause severe bodily injuries on your children and their friends, plus the injuries sometimes can lead to long term damaging impacts on their health.

Parents, please check your emails regularly to avoid missing any important info! It is our tradition of HCSTC that:

1) School keeps communicating with parents for important matters about the school and your kids.

2) And also, teachers are communicating each week with you on what has been taught for the week, class homework assignments for the students. If you don't receive any emails from the teacher, its your responsibility to contact the teacher directly or contact hcstc@hopechineseschool.org to get the situation corrected.

Equally important, I would like to remind parents that it is ALWAYS parents' responsibility to drop off their children at the correct classrooms and pick them up promptly when their classes end. It's very important that you take up on these responsibilities.

As we have emphasized before, parents' involvement in your kids’ learning is very important for their success in their classes. Our teachers work very hard to prepare and communicate on weekly basis with the students and/or parents via emails, or through Google Classroom or other media of the teachers' choice. Please remind your kids to complete their weekly homework assignments before heading to school every Sunday! We appreciate all of your efforts to ensuring your kids' learning a success!
