11/10 HCSTC Announcement

Dear HCSTC community,

We will have a normal school day tomorrow, despite the fact that Monday, 11/11 is Veteran's day, a government day.

Very soon, we will start working on our registration for the 2025 spring semester. It is expected to be rolled out after the Thanksgiving holiday. Again, for the convenience to our students/parents, all our fall semester registered students will be enrolled into our 2025 Spring semester. However, if you wish to make any corrections, based on any family reason, you need to change your classes accordingly in our automatically enrolled Spring registration system yourselves.

Our last day for this semester is 12/15 and our first day of the spring semester is 1/12/2025.

We also want to bring another important issue to our parents' attention. Homework. According to our teachers' feedbacks over this semester, it seems that some of our students either fail to pay enough attention to or totally ignore their homework assignments. Simply put, some of our students DO NOT do their homework.

Needless to say, students simply can not effectively learn and master what's taught in classrooms without doing their homework assignments. At Tysons' campus, each Sunday, after classes are finished, all our teachers send out an email to our students via their parents' email addresses, detailing the materials being taught in the classrooms and homework assignments for the week, with few exceptions for classes such as martial arts, basketball classes, etc.

We hope that by bringing this problem to parents' attention, our teachers can get cooperation from parents in reminding/supervising their children to do their school assigned homework, so we can all work together helping our students study better, learn more effectively and achieve better results.

As a reminder, SAFETY is always the most important matter in our school. As parents, please take a moment to talk to your children about safety in our school, such as no running in the hallway; not to touch or play storage locker; no windows climbing, including handrails of staircases, etc. These actions cause severe bodily injuries on your children and their friends, plus the injuries sometimes can lead to long term damaging impacts on their health.

We can preach these as much as we could, but putting them into actions will totally depends on you, parents.

Best wishes,

HCSTC
